Africa Leadership AwardAward winner · HANNOVER MESSE 2025

For more than eight years, Friedemann Faerber has led industrial companies as CEO and managing director – with a focus on growth, internationalisation and transformation, including in difficult market phases.

Before that, he spent almost nine years as a restructuring consultant guiding mid-sized companies through crises; earlier, at Bosch, he was responsible for customers and markets in Germany, Italy and China. As CEO of SCS Stahlschmidt Cable Systems he built a new plant in Tangier (Morocco) and realigned the European production network. As CEO of Suprajit Germany GmbH he then led the integration of the SCS Group into India’s Suprajit Group.

A graduate mechanical engineer, he combines technical understanding with commercial accountability – and with roots that go back to his parents’ business: already at school and university he worked in sales at the family company. Today he is available to owners, shareholders and investors to lead an industrial company – ideally as CEO in a permanent role, as well as on an interim basis or on an advisory board.

“See the opportunities, roll up your sleeves together and learn along the way. That is exactly how progress happens.”
